წმიდა მოწამე კოინტე ფრიგიაში დაიბადა,ქრისტიანმა მშობლებმა იგი კეთილმსახურებით აღზარდეს. ნეოლიდაში ჩასული წმინდანი მრავალ ქველისსაქმეს აღასრულებდა და ეშმაკეულებს ლოცვით კურნავდა. ოლქის მმართველი რუფოსი შეეცადა, წარმართული კერპებისთვის მსხვერპლის შეწირვაზე დაეთანხმებინა წმიდანი, მაგრამ, ღვთის განგებით, მმართველი ბოროტმა სულმა შეიპყრო. ნეტარმა კოინტემ ქრისტეს სახელით განკურნა იგი. მომხდარით სულშეძრულმა და მადლიერებით აღვსილმა რუფოსმა უფლის რჩეული დაასაჩუქრა და გაათავისუფლა.
