წმიდა ევტიქი კონსტანტინეპოლელი მთავარეპისკოპოსი (+592) - დაიბადა ფრიგიაში. მისი მამა, ალექსანდრე, მეომარი იყო, დედა კი, სინესია, ავგუსტოპოლის ეკლესიის მღვდლის, ისიხის ასული. წმიდა ევტიქიმ პირველდაწყებითი განათლება და ქრისტიანული აღზრდა ბაბუასთან მიიღო. ერთხელ, თამაშის დროს, პატარა ევტიქიმ საკუთარი სახელი დაწერა პატრიარქის ტიტულით და თითქოს იწინასწარმეტყველა თავისი მომავალი. თორმეტი წლის ევტიქი კონსტანტინეპოლში გააგზავნეს სწავლის გასაგრძელებლად. ყმაწვილმა ბრწყინვალედ აითვისა სხვადასხვა მეცნიერება და მიხვდა, რომ ყოველგვარი ადამიანური სიბრძნე არარაობაა ღვთაებრივი გამოცხადების წინაშე. მან გადაწყვიტა, ბერად აღკვეცილიყო. წმიდა ევტიქი ამასიის ერთ-ერთ მონასტერში წავიდა. ღვთივსათნო ცხოვრების გამო მალე ის მთელი ამასიის მონასტრების არქიმანდრიტად აირჩიეს.
