წმიდა კეთილმსახური მთავარი ალექსანდრე ნეველი 1263 წლის 14 ნოემბერს გარდაიცვალა. 23 ნოემბერს მისი ნეშტი ვლადიმირის მაცხოვრის შობის მონასტრის საკათედრო ტაძარში დაფლეს. დაკრძალვისას სასწაული აღესრულა - წმიდანმა თავად გაიწოდა ხელი შენდობის წერილის მისაღებად. 1380 წელს, კულიკოვოს ბრძოლის წინ სასწაულებრივად მოხდა კეთილმსახური მთავრის უხრწნელი ნაწილების გამოჩინება. 1721 წლის 30 აგვისტოს პეტრე I-მა შვედებთან ხანგრძლივი ომის შემდეგ ზავი დადო. ამ დღეს დაუკავშირეს ნეტარი ალექსანდრეს უხრწნელი ნაწილების გადასვენება ვლადიმირიდან პეტერბურგში, ალექსანდრე ნეველის ლავრაში. 30 აგვისტოს სწორედ ამ მოვლენას ვდღესასწაულობთ. ალექსანდრე ნეველს ეკლესია იხსენიებს 23 ნოემბერსაც.
