ღირსი თეოდოსი იღუმენი (+1074) რუსეთის სამონასტრო წესდების დამაარსებელი და მონაზვნობის ფუძემდებელი, დაიბადა კიევთან ახლოს, ვასილიევოში. ის სიყრმითგანვე ასკეტურად ცხოვრობდა მშობლიურ სახლში. 14 წლისას მამა გარდაეცვალა და დარჩა მკაცრი და ძალაუფლებისმოყვარე დედის ზედამხედველობის ქვეშ. მოსაგრეობისკენ მიწრაფებისთვის მან არაერთხელ დასაჯა შვილი, მაგრამ ღირსი თეოდოსი მტკიცედ ადგა არჩეულ გზას. 24 წლისამ მალულად დატოვა სახლი და ღირსი ანტონის კურთხევით ბერად აღიკვეცა კიევის მღვიმეთა მონასტერში. 4 წლის შემდეგ დედამ მიაგნო შვილს და ცრემლებით შეევედრა, სახლში დაბრუნებულიყო, მაგრამ წმიდა თეოდოსიმ თვითონ დაარწმუნა დედა, დარჩენილიყო კიევში და მონაზვნად შემდგარიყო წმიდა ნიკოლოზის სავანეში.
