წმიდა მოწამე ქრისტეფორე (+250) აღესრულა იმპერატორ დეკიუსის (249-251) დროს. წმიდა ქრისტეფორე მაღალი, არაჩვეულებრივი ძალის კაცი იყო, სახე კი მხეცისმაგვარი ჰქონდა. გადმოცემით, წმიდანი თავიდან საოცრად ლამაზი იყო, მაგრამ არ სურდა თავისი გარეგნობით სხვები ეცდუნებინა და უფალს შეევედრა, მისთვის სახე დაემახინჯებინა. ერთხელ იმპერატორმა ბრძანა, მისთვის მოეგვარათ ქრისტიანთა ქომაგი რეპრევი (ასე ერქვა წმიდანს ნათლობამდე). იგი უსიტყვოდ დამორჩილდა ბრძანების შესასრულებლად გამოგზავნილ 200 მხედარს. გზად სასწაულები აღესრულა: წმიდანის ხელში გამხმარი ხელჯოხი აყვავდა, მისი ლოცვით პური გამრავლდა. სასწაულების ხილვით გაოგნებულმა რეპრევის მხლებელმა მეომრებმა ირწმუნეს ქრისტე და წმიდანთან ერთად მოინათლნენ ანტიოქიის ეპისკოპოსის ბაბილას მიერ.
