ღირსი მაკარი (+830) - პელიკიტის მონასტრის იღუმენი, დაიბადა კონსტანტინეპოლში. იგი ადრე დაობლდა და გადაწყვიტა, ღვთის სამსახურისთვის შეეწირა თავი. ღირსი მაკარი ბითვინიაში, პელიკიტის მონასტერში წავიდა. აქ იღუმენი იყო სახელგანთქმული მოღვაწე ღირსი ილარიონი (+754; ხს. 28 მარტს). იღუმენის გარდაცვალების შემდეგ ძმებმა მის ადგილზე ერთსულოვნად ღირსი მაკარი აირჩიეს. ხატმებრძოლი იმპერატორების, ლეონ V სომეხი (813-820) და მიხეილ II (820-829) მეფობის დროს ღირსი მაკარი, წმიდა ხატთა თაყვანისცემის გამო, გადაასახლეს კუნძულ ათუსიაზე, სადაც გარდაიცვალა კიდეც დაახლოებით 830 წელს.
