წმიდა მოწამენი ლუკია ქალწული, რიქსე, ანტონი, ლუკიანე, ისიდორე, დიონი, დიოდორე, ქუთონიოსი, არონოსი, კაპიკე და სატური. წმიდა ლუკია იტალიაში, კამპანიის ოლქში დაიბადა. მან სიყმაწვილიდანვე უფალს უძღვნა თავი და მკაცრად და კეთილმსახურებით ცხოვრობდა. ქალწული ჯერ კიდევ სრულიად ახალგაზრდა იყო, როცა ერთ-ერთი გერმანული ტომის ბელადმა, რიქსემ ტყვედ ჩაიგდო. თავდაპირველად უსჯულო მბრძანებელი წარმართული კერპებისთვის მსხვერპლის შეწირვას აიძულებდა ლუკიას, მაგრამ თანდათან დარწმუნდა, რომ ურყევი იყო აღმსარებლის სარწმუნოება. ამან რიქსე წმიდანისადმი ღრმა პატივისცემით განმსჭვალა და მას პატარა სახლიც გამოუყო, სადაც ქალწული მხევლებთან ერთად დაუცხრომელ ლოცვაში ატარებდა დროს. ბელადი სალაშქროდ წასვლის წინ ლუკიასაგან ითხოვდა ხოლმე დალოცვას და შინ მუდამ გამარჯვებული ბრუნდებოდა.
