ღირსი ანა და ძე მისი, იოანე, ბიზანტიაში ცხოვრობდნენ. ანა კონსტანტინეპოლის ვლაქერნის ტაძრის მოძღვრის ასული იყო. მეუღლის სიკვდილის შემდეგ მან მამაკაცის სამოსელი შეიმოსა და ძესთან, წმიდა იოანესთან ერთად, ევფემიანეს სახელით, მამათა ერთ-ერთ სავანეში დაემკვიდრა, ოლიმპოს მახლობლად. ღირსი ანა კონსტანტინეპოლში მიიცვალა 826 წელს. მისი ხსენება აღინიშნება ორჯერ: 14 ივნისს და 29 ოქტომბერს.
