მღვდელმოწამე თერაპონტე, სარდიელი ეპისკოპოსი ქრისტესთვის ეწამა III საუკუნეში. მან მრავალი წარმართი ელინი მოაქცია ქრისტეს სჯულზე. იულიანეს სამსჯავროზე გამოცხადებულმა მღვდელმთავარმა უშიშრად აღიარა ქრისტიანობა, რისთვისაც საპყრობილეში ჩააგდეს და დიდხანს ტანჯავდნენ შიმშილითა და წყურვილით. ნაწამებ მღვდელმთავარს ბორკილები დაადეს და ჯერ ფრიგიის ქალაქ სინაონში, შემდეგ კი - ანკვირიაში გადაიყვანეს. ბოლოს ქრისტეს მხნე აღმსარებელს სარდეს სამიტროპოლიტოს დაქვემდებარებულ სალატიის საეპისკოპოსში ამოხადეს სული ტანჯვითა და წამებით. მოწამის სისხლით გაჟღენთილი გამხმარი პალო აყვავდა, ხოლო მისმა ფოთლებმა მაკურნებელი თვისება მიიღო.
