წმიდა კარპეზი და ალფესი, სამოცდაათთგანნი (I). წმიდა კარპეზი იყო წმიდა პავლე მოციქულის მოწაფე და თანამგზავრი. წმიდა მოციქულთა თავი მის სახელს იხსენიებს ტიმოთეს მიმართ მე-2 ეპისტოლეში: კარპეზის სახლში დაუტოვებია მას ფილონი და წიგნები (2 ტიმ. 4,13). წმიდა პავლემ კარპეზს ხელი დაასხა თრაკიის ბერიის ეპისკოპოსად. მოციქული კარპეზი სახარებას ქადაგებბდა კუნძულ კრეტაზე. აქ ის ინახულა წმიდა დიონისე არეოპაგელმა (ხს. 3 ოქტომბერს). თავის მოგონებებში დიონისე გადმოგვცემს წმიდა კარპეზის ღვთაებრივი გამოცხადების შესახებ.
