ღირსი ანინე ხუცესი დაიბადა ქალკედონში, ქრისტიანულ ოჯახში. მშობლების გარდაცვალების შემდეგ 15 წლის ანინემ დატოვა ოჯახი, მონასტერში დასახლდა და ბერად აღიკვეცა. სრული განმარტოებისათვის ის უდაბნოში წავიდა, იქ, სადაც ევფრატი სირიას ჰყოფს სპარსეთისაგან. უდაბნოში ანინე შეხვდა ბერ მაიუმს. ორივე მოღვაწე ძალზე მკაცრ ცხოვრებას ეწეოდა. მთელი დიდმარხვის განმავლობაში არაფერს ჭამდნენ.
