ღირსი ისიხი მმარხველი (+434) დაიბადა ბითვინიის ქალაქ ადრინიაში. ღვთისმოსაობაში გაზრდილმა ისიხიმ დატოვა სახლი და დაეყუდა მაიონისის მთის უდაბურ ადგილას. მან სძლია ბოროტი სულების, ირგვლივ მობინადრე მტაცებელი მხეცებისა და ავაზაკების შიშს, გაიკეთა კელია, გააშენა ბოსტანი და საკუთარი შრომით ირჩენდა თავს. ცოტა ხნის შემდეგ წმიდა ისიხთან მოწაფეები მივიდნენ. ღირსმა მამამ ეკლესია ააშენა წმ. მოციქულის ანდრია პირველწოდებულის სახელზე. წმიდა ისიხი სიცოცხლეშივე სასწაულთქმედების ნიჭით დაჯილდოვდა. ერთხელ მას ეშმაკეული გოგონა მიჰგვარეს. მშობლების თხოვნით ღირსმა ისიხიმ იგი განკურნა და იწინასწარმეტყველა, რომ ამ ადგილას დედათა სავანე დაარსდებოდა. მომავალში ეს წინასწარმეტყველება ახდა.
