ღირსი ზაქარია, იერუსალიმელი პატრიარქი VI-VII საუკუნეთა მიჯნაზე ცხოვრობდა. 614 წელს სპარსეთის მეფე ხოსრო დაესხა თავს იერუსალიმს, გაძარცვა ქალაქი, უფლის ცხოველსმყოფელი ჯვარი იგდო ხელთ, 90 000-მდე ქრისტიანი დახოცა და მრავალიც ტყვედ წაასხა. ტყვეებს შორის იყო წმიდა ზაქარიაც. შემდგომში ხოსრო იძულებული გახდა, ბიზანტიელი იმპერატორის, ჰერაკლესთვის (610-641) ზავი ეთხოვა და უფლის ჯვარი და ცოცხლად დარჩენილი ტყვეები უკან დაებრუნებინა. განთავისუფლდა იერუსალიმის პატრიარქიც. იგი მშვიდობით მიიცვალა 633 წელს.
