ღირსი თალასი, სირიელი მეუდაბნოე V საუკუნეში ცხოვრობდა. იგი სიყმაწვილეშივე განმარტოვდა ერთი მთის მწვერვალზე, სოფელ ტარვალის მახლობლად და 38 წელი გაატარა ღია ცის ქვეშ. უფალმა განდეგილს სასწაულთქმედების და კურნების ნიჭი მიმადლა. მრავლად იყვნენ მისი ხელმძღვანელობით მოღვაწეობის მსურველები და წმიდა მამაც არავის ისტუმრებდა უარით; ღირსი თალასი მშვიდობით მიიცვალა.
