Lorsque saint Epiphane fut convoqué à Rome pour assister la soeur de l'empereur Honorius avec ses prières, il consacra Philon comme évêque. Philon composa une exégèse du Pentateuque et du Cantique des Cantiques. Il mourrut en paix au 5ème siècle.
