Il fut disciple de saint Serge de Radonezh, et un grand thaumaturge. Après sa mort, il apparut à nombre de gens, parfois pour les instruire, parfois pour mettre en garde, et parfois pour guérir. Il quitta cette vie pour une meilleure en 1406.
