Sfîntul loachim a dus viata tuturor nevointelor în a doua jumatate a veacului al unsprezecelea, la Muntele Osogovsk, într-o pestera ce se afla în apropierea unui loc numit Sarandopor. Mai tîrziu pe acest loc un alt ascet, Theodor de la Pasunea Oilor, caruia îi aparuse în vis Sfîntul loachim, a zidit o sfînta biserica. De-a lungul veacurilor multe minuni s-au lucrat la moastele Sfîntului loachim aflate în acest loc, si se mai lucreaza si astazi.
