Cînd împaratul Decius a cucerit Babilonul, el 1-a capturat si pe Episcopul Polihronie împreuna cu trei presbiteri, doi diaconi si doi principi proaspat botezati, Abdon si Senin. Sfîntul Plihronie a ramas tacut înaintea împaratului, nedîndu-i nici un raspuns; dar pentru toti a dat raspuns Sfîntul Parmenius, presbiterul. împaratul i-a luat si i-a dus pe episcop si pe presbiteri cu sine în Persia, în cetatea Kordoba, unde cu totii au fost decapitati. Decius i-a luat pe principii Abdon si Senin la Roma, unde i-a aruncat la fiarele salbatice, iar apoi i-a ucis cu sabia. Eu cu totii au luat cu cinste mucenicia la anul 251.
