Acest sfânt era cu neamul antiohian si a fost ostas pe vremea lui Constantin Clor, tatal Sfântului si Marelui Constantin, si si-a purtat slujba pâna în zilele lui Iulian Apostatul. Fiind de 110 ani, a fost adus înaintea lui Iulian la cercetare, sa mustrându-l pe împarat ca si-a calcat credinta parinteasca, si a adus cinstire la idoli si aducându-i aminte de bunatatile Marelui Constantin, si cum ca prin dumnezeiasca aratare a fost adus la credinta în Hristos. Însa Iulian batându-si joc de el, a poruncit sa i se taie capul, si asa a plinit mucenicia în Hristos.
