Sfintii Ilie si Flavius acestia au fost mari ziloti ai Credintei si aparatori ai Ortodoxiei. Ei au fost aruncati în exil de ereticul împarat Anastasie, si în exil au si murit. Ei au prorocit cu exactitate moartea împaratului Anastasie, precum si pe a lor însile. Ei si-au trimis scrisori unul celuilalt în exact aceeasi zi, aflîndu-se în locuri la mare departare unul de celalalt: „Anastasie împaratul astazi a murit, sa mergem si noi la judecata Domnului împreuna cu dînsul." Doua zile mai tîrziu, amîndoi sfintii s-au savîrsit catre Domnul la anul 518.
