Acest cuvios Simeon a dus o viata de pustnicesti nevointe la Sfîntul Munte Athos, iar pentru o perioada scurta de timp a fost si staretul Mînastirii Filotheu. El i-a întarit în Sfînta Credinta pe locuitorii multor tinuturi balcanice, lucrînd în acest timp si multe minuni. El umbla descult, si de aceea a si primit numele «cel Descult». Sfîntul cuvios Simeon a trecut la cele vesnice la Constantinopol.
