Cristofor, Teona si Antonie erau trei tineri ofiteri din armata împaratului Diocletian. Cînd Sfîntul Mare Mucenic Gheorghie era torturat, acestia tref"âu fost martorii chinurilor lui si ai marilor minuni care se lucrau prin el înaintea poporului. Pe acestea vazîndu-le, ei s-au înfatisat înaintea împaratului, s-au dezbracat de armele lor, si-au scos centurile militare care însemnau rangul lor si au marturisit cu curaj Numele Stapînului Hristos. Pentru aceasta ei au fost supusi la rîndul lor chinurilor celor mai cumplite, fiind în cele din urma arsi de vii. Trupurie lor au ars, iar sufletele lor au zburat fericite la ceruri, intrînd în bucuria vesnica a Domnului lisus Hristos. Acesti trei sfinti mucenici au luat cu cinste mucenicia în Nicomidia, la anul 303.
