Nevointa acestui cuvios Daniel a fost una neobisnuita: aceea de a îngriji de cei morti. De cîte ori auzea ca cineva a murit înghetat, sau în vreun alt fel de moarte napraznica, neavînd pe nimeni alaturi, Daniel se grabea sa îl îngroape cu cinste si sa aduca rugaciuni lui Dumnezeu pentru el. Cuviosul Daniel a adormit cu pace la anul 1540, iar trupul lui a fost aflat întreg, neputrezit pîna în ziua de azi.
