Cuviosul Zosima a fost monah în mînastirea de la Iordan în timpul împaratiei lui Teodosie cel Mic. El este acel Cuvios Zosima care a afiat-o pe Sfînta Maria Egipteanca care se nevoia dincolo de Iordan, careia i-a dus Sfînta împartasanie o data iar în urmatorul an a îngropat-o. Sfîntul Cuvios Zosima a trecut la Domnul la vîrsta de o suta de ani, în veacul al saselea.
