Fiind silit sa se lepede de inchinarea la sfintele icoane ale Domnului nostru Iisus Hristos si ale preacuratei Sale Maici, ale sfintilor ingeri si ale tuturor sfintilor si neplecandu-se, a fost condamnat la surghiun si supus la chinuri de neindurat. Din pricina acestora imbolnavindu-se cumplit, si-a dat sfantul sau suflet in mainile lui Dumnezeu.
