Drosida a fost fiica împaratului Traian. Ea a fost prinsa noaptea, împreuna cu alte cinci femei, pe cînd adunau trupurile mucenicilor celor chinuiti si omorîti pentru Hristos. Pentru aceasta ea a fost batuta salbatic si desfigurata chiar de tatal ei, împaratul. Cele cinci femei au fost torturate cumplit iar la urma aruncate într-o baie de cupru topit, unde si-au dat sufletele în mîna lui Dumnezeu. Drosida însa a ramas sub paza stricta a garzilor împaratului. Ea însa a reusit sa scape de la palat si s-a botezat singura într-un rîu. Dupa opt zile si-a dat sufletul în mîinile lui Dumnezeu.
