Cînd i s-a spus că faptele ei acestea nu sînt de nivelul ei imperial, ea a zis: „Se cuvine chemării imperiale să dăruieşti aur şi bani; iar dacă eu mă îngrijesc personal de săraci, nu fac decît să dăruiesc Aceluia Care m-a rînduit în chemarea imperială." Sfinta împărăteasă Plachila s-a săvîrşit către Domnul cam pe la anul 400.
