Sava a fost fiul regelui Stefan celui întîi încoronat si nepotul de frate al Sfîntului Sava întîiul. înainte de tunderea în monahism, Sfîntul Sava II s-a numit Predislav. Urmînd exemplul unchiului sau, Predislav s-a tuns în monahism si a slujit cu rîvna în viata nevointelor ascetice. El a fost ales Arhiepiscop al Sîrbilor, urmîndu-i Sfîntului Arsenic sub numele de Sava al Doilea. El a pastorit Biserica cu daruire si cu dragoste. Sava II a trecut la Domnul în anul 1268 dupa Hristos. Sfintele sale moaste se odihnesc în Mînastirea de la Peci.
