Aceştia au fost monahi din Lavra Peşterilor din Kiev. Sfîntul Kuşka a predicat Sfînta Evanghelie printre valahi [în veacul al XH-lea, v. infra] şi a botezat muţi dintre ei. Dar păgînii 1-au ucis şi pe el şi pe ucenicul ce era cu dînsul. Chiar în acele ceasuri Sfîntul Pimen Postitorul stătea în Biserica Lavrei Peşterilor din Kiev; şi văzînd în vedenie moartea mucenicească a Sfîntului Kuşka, ucenicul şi împreună-nevoitorul, a strigat: „Astăzi fratele nostru Kuşka a fost ucis pentru Hristos!" Zicînd acestea, şi-a dat duhul şi el. Faptele descrise s-au petrecut în anul 1113.
