Acesti patru Sfinti Parinti au fost întemeietorii faimoasei Mînastiri Ivirul din Muntele Athos. La început Sfîntul loan s-a nevoit în Lavra Sfîntului Athanasie, iar dupa aceea a întemeiat aceasta sfînta Mînastire, adica Ivirul. loan a trecut la cele vesnice la anul 998. Eftimie si Gheorghie sînt cei care au tradus Sfintele Scripturi în limba georgiana. Eftimie s-a odihnit în Domnul la anul 1029, iar Gheorghie la anul 1066. Gabriel a fost gasit vrednic de primi Icoana Facatoare de Minuni a Maicii lui Dumnezeu, care a sosit în aceasta mînastire purtata de apele marii.
