La început, Tit a fost soldat. Dupa ce într-o batalie a fost ranit la cap, el s-a retras din lume si s-a dus la Mînastirea Pesterilor din Kiev unde, dupa ce a fost vindecat, s-a tuns si monah. Tit a petrecut cealalta vreme a vietii lui în pocainta cu lacrimi, pentru pacatele lui de mai înainte, înainte sa moara el a aflat printr-o vedenie minunata ca pacatele lui s-au iertat. Moastele sale se afla în Pesterile cuviosului Teodosie.
