Pentru ca era crestina Felicitas a fost osîndita la moarte împreuna cu cei sapte fii ai ei, în timpul domniei lui Antonin, la anul 164 dupa Hristos. Singura ei dorinta în fata lui Dumnezeu la ceasul osîndei a fost aceea sa nu fie omorîta înaintea fiilor ei, ca sa-i poata îmbarbata în timpul schingiuirilor si ca sa nu le fie lor sa se lepede de Hristos. Si dupa purtarea de grija a lui Dumnezeu, asa s-a si întîmplat. Cu bucurie, viteaza mama cea cu suflet de diamant a stat tare lînga toti cei sapte fii ai ei care, unul cîte unul, au fost chinuiti si omorîti pentru Hristos. Apoi, plina de recunostinta pentru Dumnezeu, a primit si ea cununa muceniciei, împreuna cu fiii ei, Felicitas a primit martiriul la Roma, unde se odihnesc sfintele moaste ale tuturor.
