Aceasta Ioana a fost femeia lui Huza, intendentul lui Irod (Luca 8: 3 -verifica). Cînd Irod a poruncit uciderea lui loan Botezatorul, el, Irod, a lasat sa fie aruncat capul sfîntului într-un loc necurat. Aceasta Ioana s-a dus si a luat de acolo capul Sfîntului loan si 1-a îngropat cu cinste la Muntele Maslinilor. Dupa vreme îndelungata, în timpul domniei Marelui Constantin, s-a aflat capul Sfîntului loan Botezatorul. Sfînta Ioana Mironosita a fost martora si a Rastignirii si a învierii Domnului. Ea s-a odihnit cu pace.
