Acest Stefan a fost fiul Cneazului Sîrb Lazar si al Cneaghinei Milita. El a fost un aparator al Crestinatatii din Balcani în vremuri nespus de grele. El a fost ctitorul minunatelor mînastiri Manasiia si Kalenici. Dupa o viata de mari nevointe si tulburari, el s-a odihnit si a trecut la Domnul, în nouasprezece zile ale lunii iulie, din anul 1427.
