Aristocleus a fost preot în biserica catedrala din cetatea Tamasus din Insula Cipru, ducînt o viata bineplacuta lui Dumnezeu. Din pricina marii sale rîvne pentru Credinta în Hristos, Aristocleus s-a învrednicit sa auda un glas din ceruri care 1-a învatat sa se duca la Salamis, cetate a Ciprului, si sa primeasca acolo cununa muceniciei. Diaconul Dimitrian si citetul Athanasius au mers împreuna cu dînsul. Sosind la Salamis, acesti barbati dumnezeiesti au purces la vestirea Cuvîntului. Pagînii i-au prins, si dupa ce i-au torturat bestial pe toti trei 1- au decapitat pe Aristocleus, iar pe Dimitrian si pe Athanasius i-au ars de vii, la anul 306.
