Trifilie a fost ucenicul Sfîntului Spiridon al Trimitundei Facatorul de Minuni, iar mai dupa aceea împreuna lucrator cu el în insula Ciprului. El era un barbat milostiv, cu mintea curata si avînd întreaga feciorie de-a lungul întregii lui vieti. El era „fîntîna de lacrimi" si mare nevoitor. El bine a pastorit turma lui Hristos, iar cînd s-a odihnit a primit cununa celor mai mari ierarhi din ceruri. Sfîntul Trifilie Episcopul Nicosiei din Cipru a adormit cu pace la anul 370 dupa Hristos.
