Zosima bine s-a nevoit multi ani din viata pe Muntele Sinai. Venind la Alexandria cu oarece ascultare el a fost luat si înaltat Episcop al Noului Babilon de catre Fericitul Patriarh Apolinarie. El a fost pastor minunat al turmei lui Hristos. Biruindu-se de batrîneti adînci si de osteneala, el iarasi s-a întors în Muntele Sinai si acolo si-a dat sufletul în mîinile lui Dumnezeu, primind cununa slavei între ierarhii cei mari. El a trait si a trecut la cele vesncie în veacul al saselea.
