Ca ierarh, el a pastorit turma lui Hristos timp de douazeci si sase de ani, cu mare dragoste si milostivire de oameni. Dupa ce a murit, si pe cînd puneau trupul lui în biserica, unii dintre cei de fata 1-au vazut cum se înalta din sicriu în vazduh, pe deasupra bisericii, si cum binecuvînteaza poporul si orasul de la acea înaltime. Dupa aceea au vazut cum trupul lui se reîntoarce în sicriu. Multe alte minuni s-au petrecut la mormîntul lui. El s-a înfatisat înaintea Domnului la anul 1288, în douazeci si opt de zile ale lunii mai.
