Aceasta a fost din Persida, preoteasă a capiştei Artemidei, având şi sora creştina şi văzu în vis îngerul lui Dumnezeu unde-i arăta tainele creştinilor şi sculându-se cu frică povesti surorii sale. Şi ea o duse la episcop şi botezându-se i se făcu singură soră-sa naşă de a o primi din botez. Pentru care pornindu-se elinii asupră-i cu mânie, o uciseră cu pietre, fiind încă îmbrăcată cu hainele sfântului Botez şi o aruncară într-o groapa adâncă din care abia au putut-o creştinii să o scoată. Iar episcopul, mergând la împăratul Perşilor, a luat stăpânire să strice capiştea Artemidei şi să zidească o biserică în care au pus cinstitele moaşte ale sfintei Muceniţe Mamelhta.
