Acest sfânt mucenic, înflorind cu evlavia credintei si cu virtutea trupului, a marturisit pe Hristos cu îndrazneala tinereasca. Atunci dregatorul Elevterupolei l-a prins si, neputând sa-l înduplece cu maguliri si nici sa-l înspaimânte cu îngroziri, l-a aruncat în foc, unde sfântul a primit cununa de mucenic.
