Acest Sfînt Conon s-a nascut în Nazaret. El era blînd si curat cu inima si era peste tot placut înaintea lui Dumnezeu. In timpul domniei lui Decius, sfîntul Conon a fost prigonit, chinuit si mucenicit pentru Hristos. întotdeauna el a ramas tare în credinta. El i-a certat cu asprime pe judecatorii pagîni, vadind prostia lor. Calaii iau batut cuie în picioare, 1-au legat de carul cezarului si 1-au silit sa alerge în trapul cailor prin cetate pîna cînd acest om nevinovat si sfînt, epuizat de chinuri, a cazut. Atunci el s-a rugat ultima oara pentru lume si si-a dat sufletul în mîinile lui Dumnezeu, la anul 251 dupa Hristos.
