în a doua zi dupa Nasterea Domnului, Biserica Ortodoxa o preamareste si îi multumeste Preasfintei Nascatoare de Dumnezeu, cea care L-a nascut cu trup pe Domnul, Dumnezeul si Mîntuitorul nostru lisus Hristos. Praznicul acesta se numeste Sobor [sau Sinaxa], deoarece în aceasta zi toti credinciosii se strîng sa o preamareasca pe Aceea care este Preasfînta Nascatoare de Dumnezeu, si sa praznuiasca cu evalvie si de obste aceasta Sfînta Sarbatoare în cinstea Ei. La Ohrida .traditia acestei sarbatori este straveche: aici, a doua zi dupa Nasterea Domnului nu se slujea vecernia decît în Biserica Nascatoarei, numita Celnita [de Capetenie]. Toti preotii din cetate si tot poporul se strîngea în aceasta biserica spre a o preamari pe Preasfînta Nascatoare de Dumenezeu si Pururea Fecioara Maria.
