El a fost un distins scriitor, un atlet al adevarului crestin, si un mucenic al adevarului lui Hristos. El a adunat multele carti ale Sfintei Scripturi într-un singur volum si a compilat o cheie care sa ajute la stabilirea exacta a datei Sfintelor Pasti [Paschalionul] pe o perioada de cinci sute si treizeci si doi de ani înainte. El s-a savîrsit din lumea aceasta la anul 1505. Sfintele lui moaste facatoare de minuni odihnesc la Mînastirea Ciudov de la Moscova.
