Sfintii Apostoli Arhip, Filimon si sotia sa, Apfia au trait in vremea imparatului Nero. Sfantul Arhip a fost episcop in cetatea Colose, din Frigia. Sfantul Filimon a fost convertit la crestinism de Sfantul Apostol Pavel, si in casa lui se adunau crestinii pentru a participa la rugaciunea comuna. Sfanta Apfia, sotia lui Filimon, randuia biserica din casa ei.
