Ученик на Св. Нифонт, цариградскиот патријарх. Се подвизуваше на Света Гора. Имаше толку љубов кон Христа, што сите подвизи му се сторија недоволни, заради што сакаше да пострада од љубов кон својот Господ. Затоа отиде во Цариград, каде што јавно пред Турците ја исповеда својата вера во Пресвета Троица и во Синот Божји. Огорчени Турците му ја отсекоа главата на 26 октомври 1536 година.
