Зоа беше најпрво развратна жена и искушувачка на Св. Мартинијан, па кога го виде овој испосник како скока во оган за да убие секакво сладострастие во себе, таа горко се покаја, отиде во еден манастир во Витлеем, каде што јуначки се подвизуваше како испосничка и затворничка. Кога ги покаја своите гревови доби од Бога дар на чудотворство. Света Фотинија морската бура ја исфрли на островот на којшто се беше осамил Св. Мартинијан. Тој веднаш се оддалечи од островот, а Фотинија се упокои таму во пост и молитва.
