Грчка царица, сопруга на злобниот иконоборен цар Теофил. По смртта на овој цар царицата Теодора се зацари со својот син Михаил III. Веднаш го воспостави иконопочитувањето на Соборот во Цариград во 842 година. Во таа прилика беше востановено и празнувањето на победата на Православието коешто оттогаш се врши во првата недела на Чесниот пост. Оваа света, за Црквата заслужна жена, Му ја предаде својата душа на Бога на 11 февруари 867 година. Во тоа време на потполно торжество на Православието над сите ереси, според прекрасната Божја Промисла меѓу Словените беа испратени Светите браќа Методиј и Кирил како христијански мисионери.
