Син на кралот Стефан Првовенчан, а внук на Свети Сава Први. Пред монашењето се викаше Предислав. Следејќи го примерот на својот голем чичко, Предислав се замонаши и ревносно се предаде на подвиг. Беше избран за архиепископ српски после Св. Арсениј. Под името Сава Втори, управуваше со Црквата со голема предаденост и љубов. Се упокои во 1268 година. Моштите му лежат во манастирот во Пеќ.
