Беше епископ во Грузија, но кога тамошниот татарски каган почна да ги мачи христијаните, тој се оддалечи на четири години меѓу Готите во Бесарабија. (Готската епархија е образувана во времето на царот Константин Велики). Штом слушна за смртта на каганот, се врати на својата служба и раководеше со својата паства ревносно и богоугодно. Пред смртта рече: „По четириесет дена ќе одам да се судам со каганот“ (т. е. умирајќи ќе отиде пред престолот Божји). И така беше. Четириесеттиот ден се престави и отиде кај Господ. Се упокои мирно во 8 век.
