Таа е жена на Хуза, дворјанин Иродов (Лука 8, 1). Кога му ја отсече главата на Свети Јован Крстител, Ирод ја фрли на нечесно место. Јоана ја зеде главта на Крстителот и чесно ја погреба на Елеонската Гора, на еден Иродов имот. Дури во времето на царот Константин Велики се откри чесната глава на Св. Предвесник Јован. Света Јоана се спомнува и како присутна при страдањето и Воскресението на Господ. Мирно се упокои.
